AllSield was so wonderful in cleaning out the crawlspace. We were being tortured by the critters and they did such a wonderful job. The bid process was easy with no pressure tactics like the other guys! The workers were professional, thorough, and respectful of the property keeping all that mess contained. The ongoing service technician is friendly and keeps me informed about what's going on in terms of maintaining the peace and quiet!!
Pest Control Shortly after purchasing my home, I had my entire home re-insulated. I hired what claimed to be a “local” to Washington pest control service to protect my investment. Years later, that same company told me I had insulation damage and needed crawlspace exclusion and remediation valued at thousands of dollars. I had been reaching out to the pest control company about having subscribed to their preventative maintenance specifically to avoid this damage and how they could help with this situation. I received no feedback beyond my request being sent to managers for months. After further investigation, I learned the company was not a local company, but was misrepresenting that by having a main office in the Puget Sound area. While I waited for their responses and for my prepaid services to be completed, I researched actual local-to-Thurston pest control companies and reached out for multiple bids. Most of the companies recommended similar resolutions for an entire clean-out and re-insulation of the crawlspace. While I could go with a clean out and partial insulation replacement, this wouldn’t guarantee further damage reduction due to hidden damage and the pheromones attracting more pests. So far, All-Shield’s pest control has been effective! The team at All-Shield has been out here every month examining their work and checking the crawlspace and exterior bait stations. They have swept for spiders and webbing, checked for nesting insects, and flea treated our yard. They’ve happily reported we have had zero crawlspace activity! No traps catching rodents and zero activity in the crawlspace bait stations. Compare that to 100% bait consumption of our exterior bait stations. We have even found multiple carcasses in our yard. While the carcasses are generally a good sign that the crawlspace has been protected very well, I did have concerns about my pets finding the carcasses before I did. When I discussed this with All-Shield, they sent me information on the bait stations and explained this is a new generation of bait that is comparatively very safe for pets larger than the rodents. On top of that, if there are any signs of our pets ingesting too much second-hand poison, the antidote is simply doses of vitamin K which we can get through our vet. If you’ve made it this far in the review, I will summarize by saying All-Shield has been great to work with from the beginning and their communication has been solid and responsive. Their work, so far, has demonstrated itself to be effective. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Especially if you are as inclined to support actual local businesses as I am.
They do a great job! We hired them to keep rodents at bay and also to address an ongoing ant problem. Michael is friendly, on time, and very knowledgeable. The owner Jason is very communicative and the prices are fair. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a pest control service.
